Pub Relief Manager
Fees & Engagement Process
Clear, straightforward pricing — agreed properly before we start
When you need relief pub management, you need clarity from the outset. We keep our fee structure simple and transparent, with terms agreed in advance so there are no surprises.
Every assignment is slightly different — whether it’s short-notice emergency cover, planned absence, or longer interim management — so we always recommend a quick conversation first.
Our Fees
Our standard relief pub management rate is from £160 per day. Certain locations, including pubs within the M25 may attract a small daily surcharge.
This covers full day-to-day operational management of your pub, including:
- Opening and closing responsibility
- Staff supervision and direction
- Stock and cellar oversight
- Cash handling and basic reporting
- Maintaining operational and compliance standards
We provide hands-on, working management — not oversight from a distance.
Public Holiday & Short-Notice Surcharges
Certain situations require additional flexibility and availability.
- Public holidays are subject to an agreed surcharge.
- Short-notice emergency cover may also carry a surcharge, depending on urgency and duration.
These are discussed and agreed before confirmation, so you know exactly where you stand.
Travel & Accommodation
Our daily rate does not include:
- Travel costs
- Accommodation (where required)
- Meal allowance
Arrangements are agreed on a case-by-case basis.
In many cases, pubs are able to provide accommodation on site, which simplifies matters. Where this isn’t available, we’ll agree suitable arrangements beforehand so everything is clear and practical for both parties.
How the Engagement Process Works
1. Initial Contact
You get in touch to explain the situation — whether it’s urgent cover or a planned gap.
2. Discussion & Scope
We clarify:
- Duration of cover
- Type of pub (wet-led, food-led, managed, freehouse, etc.)
- Staffing structure
- Accommodation availability
- Start date
3. Fee Agreement
We confirm:
- Daily rate
- Any applicable surcharges
- Travel and accommodation arrangements
- Expected length of assignment
Everything is agreed upfront.
4. Relief Management Begins
We arrive on site and take responsibility for day-to-day management for the agreed period.
If circumstances change — for example, recruitment takes longer than expected — we simply review and extend by agreement.
Discuss Your Requirements
If you need temporary pub management cover — whether at short notice or as part of a planned absence — get in touch to discuss your requirements and availability.
We’ll provide a clear outline of costs and next steps with no obligation.
